Environmental Crisis Cause by Textile Waste
Clothing that is thrown away usually ends up in landfills, the most common method of waste treatment. While decomposing, clothes emit greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide (C02) and Methane gas (CH4), a substance that is 28 times higher than C02 in terms of emissions. This is a major global warming problem. This series would concentrate on the environmental crisis caused by textile waste. The viewer of this PSA would be more alarmed about our world. Animation is critical in doing this project because it helps us to share stories and express feelings and opinions in a special, easy-to-perceive manner that both teenagers and young adults can appreciate and PSAs often have a powerful message that sticks with the viewer, sometimes becoming part of society’s collective psyche. By doing this project, it hopes to create awareness about our roles in this environment.
